Synthrock band Minusworld loves big, high-energy synth/guitar riffs matched with driving dance and rock rhythms. Fronted by mastermind Melissa Carubia on vocals and keytar, we also include guitar, bass and drums on tracks that emphasize fun and nerd-nostalgia. Our EP entitled GIANT BLAZING SWORD, available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Music (et al.), features all of this in “Black Lion”: a song about the trials and tribulations of Voltron (Defender of the Universe). We have made appearances on the Dex and Butz show at WEMF radio in Cambridge, MA and regularly play in the area at TT the Bear’s, the Middle East and the Burren.
